Nathan Douglas DVM
Dr. Douglas is one of the owners of Cedar Park Animal Clinic. He graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. Dr. Douglas is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Texas Veterinary Medical Association. His veterinary interests include internal medicine and lameness. Dr. Douglas has two children, Noah and Maddie. His four-legged crew consists of Snuff, a mutt, Taps, a mini-dachshund, and two domestic short hair cats, Wilson and Moomba. Dr. Douglas enjoys golfing, the outdoors, and spending time with his kids!
Matthew Thompson DVM
Dr. Thompson is the other owner of Cedar Park Animal Clinic. He graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. Dr. Thompson is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Texas Veterinary Medical Association. He and wife, Amy, have four children: Ashley, Will, Ben, and Jake. Pixie, a Jack Russell terrier, adds to the fun! Dr. Thompson enjoys the variety in veterinary medicine and surgery. Spending time with the family keeps Dr. T busy when away from work.

Amy Birdwell DVM
Erica is a key member of our staff and has been at the clinic since 1998. From the business to the technical side, Erica excels and keeps the entire crew running smoothly and happily. As our most senior employee, she is familiar with most of our faithful clients and their When not at the clinic, Erica enjoys spending time with her husband and their 2 beautiful daughters. They also take care of 2 adorable dogs, Bella (Chiweenie) and Erma (Chihuahua), and have recently adopted a neighborhood cat they named Lilly.pets and treats them like family. She’s never too busy to pop in an exam room and offer a greeting, a hug or even a hand to hold.
Agim moved to the United States in 1996 with his wife and son. They now have a daughter as well. He graduated from Albania’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1977 and worked there in a herd health setting for the government’s sheep and goat herds. He assists us with surgery, radiology and laboratory procedures. He also works with us to manage our boarding facility. Agim enjoys collecting coins and stamps from all over the world.
Lauren, a Certified Vet Assistant, has been with Cedar Park Animal Clinic since 2004. She is our hospital technician and spends most days caring for hospitalized patients and assisting the doctors with pets throughout the facility. She is passionate about animals and their care and loves helping clients with their furry friends. Her soft spot is, without doubt, geriatric pets and she is a huge advocate for the adoption of older animals. Away from work, she is busy with her four dogs Chili, Mitzvah, Sadie Crow and Phyllis and her two cats Monty and sweet Zelda. In addition, she cares for a colony of feral cats and supports TNR. In her spare time, she loves to read and take the dogs for walks at Brushy Creek.
Jeannie joined Cedar Park Animal Clinic in 2015. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. Jeannie is from Arkansas where her family and beloved horse still live. She and her husband Jamie have 3 kids; daughter Isabella, and two dogs: Boxer and Devil-lin. They also have two snakes named Skie and Aurora. Jeannie spends her spare time with her family and riding her motorcycle.
Lynn is one our valued receptionists. She is a Certified Animal Health technician allowing her to jump in and help our pets when needed. Born in Canada, Lynn and family moved to Austin after a lengthy adventure in Dubai, U.A.E. She has two children in high school; a daughter who is a senior and a sophomore son. The family also boasts 3 pets! “Leo” the cat, “Boomerang” a Golden Retriever and “Skye” the Saluki. Her passions are family, pets, ice hockey and traveling the world.
Joan joined our staff in 2018. She grew up working with horses and cattle on her family’s cattle ranch and has had a lifelong passion for caring for animals. Joan has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology and an Associate’s Degree in Paramedic Technology. She worked as a paramedic for 8 years and has 8 years of experience in veterinary medicine. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family, friends, her Labrador “ Zeus” , gardening , and enjoying the outdoors.
